Volunteer Opportunities

Community Volunteers

Community volunteers are a vital part of The Bell Center. We offer volunteer opportunities in all three of our toddler programs: All About Me, Explore Every Day and My Friends.

Our 1.5-hour therapy programs operate very much like typical preschool classrooms. The students participate in circle time, play time, and snack time along with art and music activities. Each class is led by a professional team consisting of an early childhood special education teacher, physical therapist, occupational therapist and speech language pathologist. The classroom schedule and activities are therapeutic in design and promote growth and learning.

Community volunteers at The Bell Center commit to working in a classroom for 1.5 hours once or twice a week. We also offer substitute opportunities for those that are not available to volunteer on a consistent weekly basis. Our volunteers provide loving guidance and instruction and often form meaningful relationships with the children they serve.

If you are interested in becoming a Bell Center Community Volunteer, please fill out and submit the application here. If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Bird.

**You must be 18 years of age to volunteer in a classroom.

**Our summer program will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from June 10 – July 31. Please contact Jennifer for more details.
