Volunteer Opportunities

Community Volunteers

Community volunteers provide one-to-one assistance to children served in our All About Me program. This two-hour program operates very much like a typical preschool classroom. Children participate in circle time, snack time, art activities and music activities. The classroom is led by a team of professionals including an early childhood special educator, speech and language pathologist, occupational therapist and physical therapist. The classroom schedule and activities are therapeutic in design and promote growth and learning. However, children participating in the program are simply having fun participating in a preschool environment.

Community volunteers at The Bell Center commit to working with a child for 2 hours once a week. The experience of volunteering at The Bell Center is both meaningful and rewarding and our volunteers are vital to the success of our program.

If you are interested in becoming a Bell Center Volunteer, please fill out and submit the application below. Then, contact Jennifer Bird to go over availabilities in our classrooms.

You must be sixteen years of age to volunteer with The Bell Center.

**Our summer program will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from June 13-August 3. We will need volunteers. Beginning April 1, Jennifer will be able to assign those placements. Contact her for more details.**

Event Volunteers

The Bell Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is privately funded through grants, donations, and fundraisers. Our fundraisers offer something for everyone, from the Mercedes Marathon in February to the Tailgate Challenge in August. We are in need of one-time volunteers for each event that we host. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for The Bell Center’s special events, please email Jennifer or call (205) 879-3417.
