2025 Bell Center 5K & Children’s Run Athlete Guide

Welcome to Race Week 2025!

This is a rain or shine event and will not be rescheduled.
We are monitoring weather for participant safety and will make a final call on the race by EOD Thursday, March 13, 2025.

Parking for Race Packet Pick-Up is available on the upper parking deck of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. The entrance for the parking day is directly across the street from The Bell Center. We ask that you not park at TBC as we need to keep the parking lot accessible for families attending therapy on Thursday and Friday.

Saturday, March 15, 2025- RACE DAY

Where: The Bell Center, 1700 29th Ct. S., Birmingham, AL 35209
When: 8am- race begins; 9:15am- Children’s Run begins

Parking for the race is available at Our Lady of Sorrows Church (1728 Oxmoor Rd., Birmingham, AL 35209). You will need to enter the parking lot from Oxmoor Rd. as both 29th Ct. S. and Central Ave. will be partially blocked off for the race. The lower-level parking deck is reserved for TBC Families. 

Agenda

• 6:30-7:15am- day- of race packet pick-up in TBC Parking Lot
• 7:30am– Bling Your Bib and Face Paint Stations
• 8:00am- 5K Race begins
  • There will be 2 corrals:
    • Group #1- Single runners/walkers- line up behind the start line up Crescent Ave. toward Central Ave.
    • Group #2- Families/Groups with strollers, dogs, or generally taking a slower pace- line up on 29th Ct. S. toward Crescent.

• 9:00-9:15am- Runners finish the race back at TBC
• 9:15am- Top finishers and fundraisers announced
  • BellRunners- stay tuned to see who wins to $1,000 cash prize!
• 9:30am- Children’s Run

Can I check out the course before the race? Yes-view our course on RunGo here.

Is there a day-of packet pick-up option?
Yes- day-of packet pick-up will be available from 6:30-7:15am on race day; however, all runners are strongly encouraged to pick up their bibs before race day. If you wait to pick up until the morning of the race, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to start the race on time at 8am.

Is the building open prior to the race?
TBC will be open prior to the race; however, we ask that you limit your visitation to the restrooms and hallways. Therapy rooms, administrative offices, and the Multi-Purpose Room will be closed with limited access.
